Hi!  I’m Mike and I am the  guy in charge of running the Digital Engine LAN events.  I work for the best company ever:  Digital Engine Software.  I somehow managed to convince the other two guys here (Kevin and Peter) to let me spend our advertising budget to host LAN parties so that’s what I’m doing.  If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask (marcher@digitalenginesoftware.com).

On May 22nd, 2010 we held what we called the LAN for Kids event.  We rented out the ballroom at the Homewood Suites, hit up businesses around town for prizes and networking equipment, bought 30 pizzas and we were given like 14 12-packs of Pepsi products.  We charged $20 to get in and proceeds went to Thrive and the CAP mentoring program.  The event went really well, and was tons of fun so we decided to make it a regular thing.  We bought our own equipment and are now using the library  so that we can offer these events for free ($5 to reserve a seat)!  Everyone is welcome so drop by and enjoy some crazy fun LAN action.
